Ambulance trusts overview

The indicators for existing targets are now available via the indicator links on the left hand side of this page. They include details of why the indicator is included, the data source, the period of time assessed by the indicator and the technical specification (construction).

The existing targets relevant to ambulance trusts are:

  • Category A calls meeting 14/19 minute target
  • Category A calls meeting eight minute target
  • Category B calls meeting national 14/19 minute target
  • Thrombolysis - 60 minute call to needle time

Combined trusts

Combined trusts (those healthcare organisations which provide functions of more than one type, for example, primary care trusts which also provide mental health services) should refer to the indicator lists for all relevant trust types. Their assessment will be based on all of the indicators for each function they deliver.
